Recertification

Overview

Your CEIP certification is valid for three (3) years. Note that the valid dates are printed on your certificate. 

The Recertification fee is $150.00, and is paid online. You will be prompted to submit payment upon completing the Recertification Application.

If certification lapses for more than 30 days, the certificant must go through the full certification process again. 

Recertification for CEIP-

Core Hour Requirement

• Total Hours: 30 hours every 3-year cycle.
• Hourly Allocation: No category minimums apply.
• ED Scope Cap: A maximum of 5 hours may be counted from coaching training for CEIP-ED.
• MH Scope Cap: A maximum of 5 hours may be counted from general behavioral health training for CEIP-MH.
• Independent Study Cap: A maximum of 5 hours may be counted
• Alternative Pathway: Certificants may choose to retake and pass the current proctored examination in lieu of submitting CE hours with additional fees included in the recertification application.

To recertify, please complete the recertification form and compile the necessary documents for your creredentialing.

Application for recertification must be submitted to the CBEIP Board prior to your expiration date) , every three years from your original certification year. It is the responsibility of the certificant to apply for recertification in a timely manner.

CBEIP will attempt to contact you in advance and it is your responsibility to keep CBEIP apprised of any changes in contact information.

Failure to apply for recertification prior to the expiration date on your certificate will necessitate re-completing the certification process.
